Made from a hand modified polystyrene dummy head
has a 3D printed base which has a green felt base and 1/4 inch metal standard tripod mount.
RCA and XLR versions weight is approx 900 grams
The USB weatherproof microphone is approx 1.3Kg (Head only).
Battery powered:
Microphone options: Professional ultra Low Noise microphone capsules, primo EM272
Phantom Powered:
XLR version requires a recorder or mixer to provide 48v phantom power. Professional ultra Low Noise microphone capsules, primo EM272
Weather proof USB coming June 2022
The USB weatherproof garden nature microphone (can be used as a standard USB microphone too) has an SR3D metal tube and a USB circuit installed, uses Primo EM272 capsules, has an insect barrier so that spiders can't get into the ear canals and wears a wind cover to stop wind spoiling the audio (apart from very windy weather) and is £499.99 ideal for raspberry pi computer live audio streaming - almost anywhere! or plug it into a PC/Mac, has 3 Meter USB cable which can be extended with USB repeaters (not supplied).
Were looking at stand options for mounting in the garden, and a box to install a mini computer like the raspberry pi, fed with outdoor CAT5 network cable and PoE options, which would be an extra to the microphone cost.
Please note:
International buyers are responsible for any tax, duties and customs fees.
Instructions on how to setup your SR3D USB weatherproof microphone go to:

A live binaural audio stream should be streaming on this page from a raspberry pi and SR3D USB microphone streaming to a free Icecast server from https://onlineaudience.co.uk
Another free audio server for streaming live nature audio with the SR3D USB weatherproof microphone is available from:
https://locusonus.org/wiki/index.php?page=Locustream.en
"Locus Sonus Stream Project offers a worldwide network of "open mikes" that permanently stream local soundscapes to a dedicated server. The resulting live audio is used in a large variety of artistic projects. The microphones are installed and maintained by volunteer participants."
